Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bench Jeweler to inspect, clean, polish, and repair jewelry and watches to ensure the highest quality before sale. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the integrity and appearance of our pieces while contributing to a safe, efficient, and organized workshop environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Polish, clean, and rhodium-plate jewelry
- Remove gemstones and diamonds from settings with care and precision
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance to ensure items are ready for sale
- Size rings, set and tighten stones, retip prongs, reshave channels, reshave/rebuild shanks, and perform laser repairs and soldering
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop
- Manage shop supplies and inventory
- Ensure a safe and efficient work environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a bench jeweler or completion of a relevant apprenticeship
- Proficiency in basic to intermediate jewelry repair techniques
- Knowledge of and commitment to safety procedures in a jewelry workshop
- Understands the importance of shop safety
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site
