We’re currently seeking a Patient Service Representative to join our front desk team. In this role, you'll be the friendly face and helpful voice that welcomes patients and visitors—often the very first point of contact for those seeking care. From answering phones and scheduling appointments to helping patients navigate services and verify information, you’ll be the connector between compassionate care and the people who need it most.
This isn’t just about administrative tasks (though those are important too)—it’s about making each interaction a little brighter, a little easier, and a lot more human.
What You’ll Do
- Greet patients warmly, whether in-person or over the phone
- Answer phones professionally and promptly, offering clear, helpful guidance
- Register new patients and update records with accuracy and attention to detail
- Help maintain efficient patient flow by coordinating with clinical staff and managing the provider schedule
- Verify insurance and collect co-pays or sliding-scale fees
- Assist with prescription pickups, records requests, and follow-ups
- Keep workspaces organized and confidential information secure
- Support the team with scheduling, patient reminders, and other essential communications
- Cross-train in at least one other area to support clinic flexibility
- Embrace other duties as needed to help the team succeed
Who You Are
- You’re customer-focused and take pride in providing respectful, helpful service
- You’re organized and detail-oriented, with a knack for juggling tasks in a fast-paced environment
- You’re a clear communicator, both in writing and in person
- You’re empathetic, patient, and calm under pressure
- You work well in a team, building trust with colleagues and patients alike
- You’re adaptable and open to learning new systems and processes
- Above all, you’re driven by a sense of purpose and a desire to make healthcare more accessible for all
At HealthFirst, you’ll find more than a job—you’ll find a mission.
If you're ready to make every interaction count and bring compassion into every conversation, we’d love to meet you.
