Ball Horticultural Company is seeking a customer-centric candidate to work in the Coating department at Premier Lab. Ball is the largest flower seed breeder/producer and distributor in the world, providing outstanding products, best-in-class customer service, and reliable supply to professional growers around the globe. 

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Process seed coating  within product specifications to provide customers the consistency they expect.
• Observe and evaluate product quality at multiple stages to provide highest quality
• Mix  formulations based on recipes to ensure consistent product
• Operate both large and small machinery. Troubleshoot to maintain equipment efficiency.
• Work with the overall team to deliver best-in-class service.
• Perform all other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and abide by our organization’s values.
• Adhere to all quality control measures and watch for signs of tampering and contamination.
• Participate in continuous improvement exercises and adapt to changing needs and requirements.

• High school diploma/GED 
• 1 or more years of experience working with seed preferred but not required, will train.
• Basic math and computer skills, ability to enter and maintain records in computer system
• Pesticide Operator License preferred. We will pay for training to obtain this license. Extra pay incentive upon successfully obtaining license.
• Excellent verbal and written English skills in order to communicate with internal customers, bilingual capabilities a plus.
• MS Office experience preferred
• Problem solving, attention to detail, organizational skills, teamwork, adaptability, and flexibility to work in multiple areas performing multiple tasks
• Productive, high-quality output to meet customer expectations and internal metrics
• Adapting approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations
• Work directly with other employees inside and outside the department on shared objectives

Salary Range: $16.00-$19.00

Hours: 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. 

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to Lift/Carry 40 Lbs. 10% of the day
• Ability to Push/Pull 50 Lbs. 10% 0f day
• Ability to Sit/Stand  100% of day
• Ability to Kneel/Bend  20% of day
• Ability to Reach above shoulder level 75% of day
• Ability to Climb/Balance 10% of day
• Ability to use Hands/Fingers 100% of day
