Greater Nashua Mental Health is looking for a Second Shift Coordinator to join our Emergency Services team! The Coordinator works 2nd shift and weekend shifts to assist the Emergency Services Program Manager in all areas of management of Emergency Services Teams. The Coordinator oversees the 2nd shift operations of the ES team. Supports the hiring, training, and supervision of 2nd shift and weekend ES Clinicians and Crisis Support Specialists. Provides direct face to face crisis intervention contacts in the office, community, and hospital settings. Completes administrative tasks to help maintain and develop the Emergency Services Team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversees the general operations of 2nd shift staff, including leading a daily deployment meeting, ensuring routine safety checks and van checks are conducted and documented, ensuring the shift log is continued from 1st shift, and other operational tasks
- Provides supervisory support to the Afterhours agency On Call Team and ACT Teams as needed
- Provides training, oversight, supervision and performance reviews to 2nd shift and Weekend ES Clinicians, Telehealth-clinician(s), Crisis Support Specialists, and Internship Staff
- Maintains knowledge of Emergency Services and the Rapid Response System as well as agency policies and procedures, and is familiar with other services provided within the agency and community
- Reviews ES evaluations and provides clinical feedback to staff
- Provides office based urgent care appointments and hospital discharges as directed by the ES Program Manager
- Participates in rapid response deployments into the community, as needed and directed by the ES Program Manager, to demonstrate leadership
- Participates in the Agency Afterhours On-Call and ES Supervisor On-Call Rotation
- Monitors the Rapid Response System to ensure GNMH teams are available and able to deploy regularly
- Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned
- Works second shift and at least 2 weekend shifts a month, as directed by the ES Program Manager
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or similar field
- Licensed NH LCMHC or LICSW preferred
- 3 to 5 years related work experience
- Knowledge of Crisis Intervention services, risk assessment/management, trauma informed care principles, and integrated treatment for co-occurring disorders
- Knowledge of NH involuntary admission criteria and conditional discharge revocation processes.
- Knowledge of family dynamics and systems theory
- Knowledge of Rapid Response Access point system
- Leadership ability in work setting
- Flexible, willing to learn, and anticipates the needs of self and staff
- Strong collaborating skills, and an ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines; high energy, self-motivated and proactive
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to interact with community stakeholders (e.g. school personnel, pediatricians) to promote department and agency programs
- Be flexible to work non-traditional shifts in order to staff this 24/7 program as needed
- Ability to coach/teach effectively
- Ability to multitask, and be flexible with regard to workload and assignments
- Ability to exercise judgment. Ability to problem solve and exercise judgment
- Ability to analyze and develop statistical data
- Strong organization skills and ability to see a project through timely
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Email, Word, EXCEL)
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and automobile with liability insurance in the amount required by agency policy
