Dental Manager
Description
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Dental Program, ensuring adequate coverage and support to carry out all business functions.
  • Represent the Dental Department at school-based health center, Quality Management, and Supervisor meetings as well as any additional meetings as requested.
  • Process Lab Case Invoices thru Microix.
  • Manage enrollment of the school-based dental program.
  • Prepare and compile summary of Peer Reviews
  • Prepare and compile requested quality reports, including but not limited to Soft Tissue/Exam, Prophy/Fluoride and Sealant reports monthly/quarterly.
  • Work as a liaison between ConnextCare and the electronic dental record vendor.
  • Monitor payments from patients for dental procedures.
  • Knowledge in all aspects of the practice management and electronic dental record system.
  • Train staff on practice management and electronic dental record systems.
  • Participate in employee recruitment and interview process.
  • Address and resolve employee concerns, communicate resolution to supervisor
  • Complete and administer employee evaluations.
  • Address patient concerns, following the quality management process
  • Ability to react to change productively and handle other essential task as assigned
  • Maintain continual communication with the Senior Management Team
  • Ensure compliance of appropriate Joint Commission standards
  • Oversee the training of new staff and administer competencies to evaluate understanding of roles
  • Develop and oversee multi-site/department clerical schedule to ensure adequate coverage
  • Have flexibility to perform and provide coverage within the department when needed
  • Dissemination of any pertinent updates to clerical staff
  • Facilitate staff monthly meetings and update action register
  • Perform chart audits and report findings/trends
  • To engage in Patient Centered Medical Home initiatives
  • Other duties and responsibilities as may be requested by your supervisor or management
Requirements
  • Minimum education of Associates Degree required
  • Supervisory/Management experience required.
  • Strong ability to firmly pursue payments on accounts.
  • Verbal and written communications skills
  • Use proper judgment and decision making skills
  • Comply and enforce the organizations code of conduct, safety rules and adheres to all company policies.
  • Carry out job responsibilities in an ethical, effective and professional manner.
  • Cooperate, work and communicate with staff, supervisors, management and visitors to our facility in a professional manner.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Suite and the Practice Management System.
  • Ability to display compassion and work well in stressful situations.
  • Must be keenly aware of the importance of confidentiality in all aspects of the position.
Salary Description
$50,000+/year depending on experience
