St. Pius X Classical Academy is seeking a passionate, organized, and dynamic Elementary Teacher (K-4) to join our team. As a Catholic school with small class sizes, we are committed to providing a nurturing and faith-filled environment where students can grow academically, spiritually, and morally.

Key Responsibilities

Classroom Instruction:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that meet academic standards and incorporate Catholic values.
  • Foster a love of learning in young students while developing essential skills in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and other core subjects.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic and developmental needs of students.
  • Integrate Catholic teachings, prayer, and values into daily lessons and classroom activities.

Classroom Management:

  • Create and maintain a positive, respectful, and structured classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Guide students in developing strong work habits, discipline, and personal responsibility.
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies while upholding the mission and values of the school.

Student Support:

  • Monitor and assess student progress using a variety of tools, including assignments, tests, and observations.
  • Provide regular feedback to students and parents on academic performance and personal growth.
  • Identify and address individual student needs, including academic challenges or behavioral concerns, in collaboration with parents and administration.

Collaboration & Professional Development:

  • Work collaboratively with fellow teachers, administration, and staff to enhance the school’s curriculum and programs.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to grow in teaching practices and stay current with educational trends.
  • Attend staff meetings, school events, and other activities that support the mission of the school.

Additional Duties:

  • Supervise students during lunch, recess, or other non-instructional times as needed.
  • Assist with school events, field trips, and liturgical celebrations.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned to contribute to the overall success of the school.

Qualifications

Education & Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (required).
  • Valid teaching license (required).

Experience:

  • Teaching experience or completion of student teaching requirements.
  • Prior experience in a Catholic or private school setting is a plus.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Self-starter who demonstrates initiative, reliability, and accountability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in integrating technology into the classroom to enhance learning.
  • Commitment to supporting and fostering the mission and values of Catholic education.
