What You Will Be Doing 


As a Project Manager for Mitigation, you will oversee and manage the complete scope of mitigation services, while ensuring profitability and high client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of damage assessment, loss estimation, and emergency response coordination. You will manage multiple active mitigation projects, driving operational execution and client communication. As the Mitigation PM you will play a key part in developing, implementing, and managing the division’s business plan. 


Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Provide leadership on mitigation projects, ensuring safe and on-time performance. 
  • Manage multiple mitigation jobs simultaneously and handle urgent situations effectively. 
  • Travel periodically (1–2 days every few weeks) to visit job sites and meet clients. 
  • Lead and coordinate daily activities for the mitigation project team. 
  • Work with estimators to prepare scopes, cost estimates, and mitigation-specific budgets. 
  • Prepare Xactimate estimates for every project.  
  • Submit mitigation job estimates and progress reports. 
  • Coordinate crew assignments, drying processes, and remediation plans in alignment with mitigation best practices. 
  • Explain and coordinate ongoing projects. 
  • Resolve issues from jobsite delays, access challenges, or emergency conditions. 
  • Schedule and prioritize mitigation steps to meet client timelines and minimize business disruption. 
  • Oversee subcontractors involved in mitigation activities. 
  • Monitor project safety, equipment use, and environmental controls during mitigation work. 
  • Estimate labor, materials, and equipment requirements for mitigation projects. 
  • Review and understand mitigation protocols, drying logs, and job documentation standards. 
  • Collaborate with supervisors and technicians to address job challenges and maintain service quality. 
  • Guide clients through the full mitigation process, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction. 
  • Respond to customer service issues related to mitigation outcomes. 
  • Mentor, train, and oversee mitigation field teams, including crew chiefs, technicians, and leads. 
  • Additional duties as assigned. 

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience specifically in mitigation services (water, fire, mold, biohazard). 
  • Experience working in the multifamily, restoration and construction field with strong business acumen. 
  • Strong understanding of mitigation industry standards (IICRC certifications preferred). 
  • Proficient at Xactimate.  
  • Experience managing mitigation projects, teams, and subcontractors. 
  • Familiarity with mitigation-specific project management software and equipment (moisture meters, air movers, dehumidifiers, etc.). 
  • Technical knowledge, scheduling, and organizational skills. 
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written; including the ability to influence, negotiate and explain complex processes to clients and staff. 
  • Ability to travel to local and regional job sites. 
  • Mitigation work is 24/7 by nature; need to be prepared to respond to emergencies on occasional nights and weekends. 
  • Adaptable to emergency response work, including occasional after-hours coordination. 
  • Travel requirements vary according to client and project locations.

Salary Description
$60,000-$75,000/Year
