Position Type: Part-Time or Full-Time (Per Diem)


Position Summary:

The Neurofeedback Technician is responsible for administering neurofeedback therapy sessions under the supervision of a licensed clinician. This role involves setting up neurofeedback equipment, guiding patients through sessions, recording session data, and supporting client engagement throughout the treatment plan. The technician will work closely with mental health professionals to ensure safe, effective, and goal-oriented therapy.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and calibrate neurofeedback equipment prior to each session.
  • Apply EEG sensors and monitor brainwave activity during sessions.
  • Assist clients through scheduled neurofeedback protocols as directed by clinical staff.
  • Maintain accurate and timely session records, including progress notes and observations.
  • Ensure client comfort and safety during therapy.
  • Report concerns or unusual activity to supervising clinician.
  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of equipment.
  • Follow HIPAA and client confidentiality protocols.
  • Provide basic education to clients and caregivers regarding the neurofeedback process.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required); associate’s or bachelor’s degree in psychology, neuroscience, or health sciences (preferred).
  • Prior experience in neurofeedback, EEG, or behavioral therapy (preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and comfort with technology and data entry.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred for patient population.
  • Ability to work with elderly or medically fragile clients in home settings.
  • Training in neurofeedback software and protocols.

Working Conditions:

  • May require travel to patient homes or clinical sites.
  • Involves prolonged periods of sitting and computer use.
  • Exposure to emotionally sensitive environments.
