Senior Operator

CHEM Group is a custom chemical processor  with expertise in various distillation technologies, pastillation, blending, reaction chemistry purification and heat transfer fluids. We strive to reduce the footprint of our industry by extracting residual value from materials that can be returned to the market in a safe, sustainable, and cost-effective ways. 


We are currently looking for a Senior Operator in Evansville, IN. 


What do I have to do? 

  • Safely operate plant and equipment
  • Daily involvement with plant housekeeping, product packaging, sample collection.
  • Safely perform the material handling duties; moving, unloading and loading tankers, railcars, drums, and totes.
  • Successfully complete all assigned plant training programs and assist in training of Level 2, 4, and 6 technicians
  • Safely operate various support equipment (e.g., forklift, overhead crane, yard tractor, etc.)
  • Neatly and accurately complete any required forms, logs, or other plant paperwork.
  • Provide general operational support for various process units and deal with daily operational task as assigned by the shift supervisor, plant supervisor, or plant manager.
  • Complete trainings as assigned
  • Abide by the principles in the EHS&S mission statement.
  • Abide by ORG Chem Group’s quality Policy.

Requirements

 

Skills and Education Requirements:   


Required

· High School Education or GED

· 5 + Years experience in a Chemical plant 

· Ability to effectively read, write, and understand English

· Ability to perform basic and mathematical calculations (e.g. arithmetic, fractions, proportions, basic algebra)

· Ability to successfully complete any additional training required for specific projects or processes.

· Must comply with the Drug and Alcohol testing policy as set forth in the Chem Group, Inc Employee Handbook

· Adhere to the responsibilities and training outlined in the RCRA Hazwaste Job Duties Matrix 

· Pass the fit for duty requirements


Preferred

· Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis on Chemistry

· 10+ Years experience in a Chemical plant
