General Purpose of Job:
The Maintenance Technician is dedicated to excellence, providing preventative and general maintenance on machines and company vehicles to ensure optimal efficiency. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the productivity and high-level appearance of Classic Rock’s operations.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform basic oil changes and maintenance on fleet vehicles, including checking and changing oil levels as needed.
- Change air, oil, and fuel filters as necessary.
- Grease kingpins and drive axles to ensure proper lubrication.
- Check and maintain differential fluid levels, antifreeze levels, and brake fluid.
- Monitor tire pressure, tread depth, and overall condition of fleet vehicles.
- Strap A-frames and load trucks nightly.
- Ensure that equipment and facilities are maintained in optimal condition for productive manufacturing and appearance.
- Drive company box trucks locally and transfer trucks to other Classic Rock locations as needed.
- Perform assigned shop duties, including machine operation during periods of high production demand or employee absences.
- Organize and track tools and maintenance supplies.
- Execute various light industrial maintenance tasks to support production operations.
- Work independently to ensure all required tasks are completed each shift.
- Maintain records for all maintenance activities performed and report problems to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager.

Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively communicate with colleagues and vendors.
- Must speak fluent English.
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, and/or schedule form.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- DOT Medical Clearance.
Physical Demands:
- The position requires regular physical activities, including stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, handling, and repetitive motions.
- The maximum weight to be lifted is less than 125 pounds.
Work Environment:
- Primarily in an indoor production area with occasional outdoor work.
- Steel toe boots and safety glasses are required; hearing protection may be required in some areas.
