Description

Martin/Martin is searching for a Marketing Coordinator II. Primary responsibilities include supporting marketing efforts, internally and externally, by writing, editing, and producing proposals with a focus on prime pursuits. Additional tasks include updating proposal opportunities and employee, client, and project information using our client relationship management (CRM) software. Assist in the planning, implementation, and follow-up of marketing initiatives and campaigns as assigned. Performs other marketing department duties as assigned by the Proposal Manager.

EXAMPLES OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Produce proposal and qualifications documents (including organizing, formatting, writing, editing, production). Obtains feedback from technical leads
  • Distributes leads to appropriate technical staff and monitors post distribution communications
  • Prepare internal news announcements
  • Prepare pre-qualification materials for targeted market sector/project pursuits
  • Create, format, and maintain common marketing materials (resumes/bios, project sheets, project lists, narratives, and standard graphics)
  • Work with technical staff to develop proposal sections and scopes of work
  • Assist with writing, editing, and proof-reading press releases, articles, award submittals, and social media posts
  • Manage/assist with scheduling and organizing AIA/CES classes and required client follow-up
  • Assists proposal manager with training, reviewing, and coaching marketing coordinator I’s
  • Build and maintain strong network of peers, mentors, and clients by attending industry events
  • Develop proposal work plans and schedules 
  • Initiate client contact as needed for proposal development and/or customer satisfaction
  • Assist technical staff in preparing for interviews and presentations
  • Maintain and update CRM database with client, corporate, employee, and project data
  • Actively involved in client, professional, and/or community organization(s)
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of client events and meetings
  • Support internal communications
  • Works overtime when needed
  • Other duties as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS/SKILLS/ABILITIES

This position is primarily administrative in nature, working mostly inside of the office, completing a wide range of activities. The following abilities are required:

  • Completing repetitive movement on tasks such as using a mouse or keyboard
  • Ability to remain stationary for long periods of time
  • Read, communicate, and document in English
  • Identify color
  • Determine and exchange accurate information
  • Occasionally move about outside of the office 
  • Occasionally move or hold objects weighing up to 25 pounds
Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or related field.
  • 3+ years of work experience in proposal development, marketing, or business administration 
  • Basic understanding of architecture, engineering & construction industry terminology and delivery methods
  • Experience with diverse types of proposals (SF330, RFP, RFQ, Prime, subconsultant, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactively engages in tasks beyond stated responsibilities.
  • Acts as a team player, cooperating with others on projects and assignments  

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Experience managing and producing prime proposal packages and pursuits, including subconsultant information, for an   engineering consulting firm
  • Ability to effectively manage time, multi-task, and pay close attention to details
  • Computer skills: Unanet/Cosential, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with diverse types of proposals (SF330, RFP, RFQ, Prime, subconsultant, etc.) 
  • Proactively engages in tasks beyond stated responsibilities
