The Opportunity
Join our creative team as a Production Design Intern at Schoolhouse & Food52, where you’ll gain real-world experience in graphic design, marketing, and content creation. You’ll play an integral role in supporting brand storytelling through visual content across digital and social platforms. This internship is ideal for a design-savvy, collaborative individual with a passion for visual communication and hands-on learning in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do
- Email Design & Production: Design and build engaging marketing emails in line with brand aesthetics and campaign goals.
- Social Media Asset Creation: Develop graphics tailored for Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube Shorts.
- Photo & Video Editing: Retouch images and assist with editing short-form videos for digital and social channels.
- Creative Collaboration: Work with marketing, design, and content teams to ensure cohesive and timely execution of visual campaigns.
- Visual Decks & Research: Assist with updating content planning decks and conducting trend/competitive research.
Bonus Experience Areas
- Social Content planning, shooting, and editing for social media
- Social community engagement and performance tracking
- Campaign and product launch support across teams
Who You Are
- Pursuing a degree in Graphic Design or related field (rising senior preferred); also open to
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva; Figma is a plus
- Aware of social media trends and best practices across platforms
- Comfortable with photography and video creation/editing tools
- Excellent communicator, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and eager to contribute in a team setting
Internship Details
The majority of our internships are for undergraduate students, particularly focused on rising
Seniors who may wish to join our company after graduation. The program offers hands-on
experience working out of our office in Portland, OR in an onsite / hybrid capacity.
- Compensation: $16.50/hour (non-exempt role)
- Location: Portland, OR (onsite/hybrid)
- Duration: Typically aligns with the academic calendar (summer/fall/spring terms)
