Forklift Operator/Shipping

Salary: $18 - $20

Job Type: Full-time M-F 6am-2:30pm

Description:

The shipping position is primarily a forklift operator position, focused on loading trucks. Also assists with warehouse order fulfillment and product packaging. Operator interfaces with truck drivers and plant personnel to ensure safe and efficient loading.

Responsibilities:

· Responsible for operating a forklift loading trucks, in the warehouse and production areas of the plant.   

· Prior to shift start, complete forklift inspections.

· Seat belts are to be worn at all times and the lift must be operated at a safe speed.  

· Clean surface areas and keep areas organized.   

· All trucks/shipment are to have proper paperwork, product counted and verified after loading.   

· Packaging slips and customer specific product labeling must be attached to all loads as specified.

· All trucks loaded by the forklift must be properly secured in place before and while loading. 

· Assist in warehouse or plant as needed.

· Any other duties as assigned.
