Description
The Payroll, Benefits, and Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing payroll processing, managing employee benefits programs, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies. This role requires strong attention to detail, a deep understanding of payroll regulations, and expertise in benefits administration and compliance practices. This role is critical in ensuring smooth payroll operations, employee benefits administration, and compliance with legal requirements, contributing to an efficient and well-supported workforce.
Payroll Management
- Oversee the processing of payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain payroll records, deductions, garnishments, and tax filings.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Collaborate with CPO and Finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies.
Administration Benefits
- Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
- Coordinate open enrollment and support employees with benefits inquiries.
- Work with broker and providers to ensure competitive and cost-effective benefits offerings.
- Monitor benefit eligibility and ensure proper documentation and processing.

Compliance & Policy Enforcement
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Stay updated on legal changes affecting payroll, benefits, and employment law.
- Conduct audits to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
- Collaborate with CPO and Executive team to mitigate risks and address employee concerns.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in payroll and benefits management.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems, labor laws, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in HRIS and payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paylocity).
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience managing multi-state payroll, benefits, and labor laws.
- Knowledge of compliance standards such as FLSA, ACA, COBRA, and ERISA.
- Ability to analyze data and improve payroll efficiency.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for employee support.
