Position Summary

Assist in overseeing the administration of the Academics & Welfare of the student-athlete that adheres to all University, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations while providing a safe and accepting environment for coaches, staff, and student-athletes to grow and develop academically, athletically and encourages personal responsibility, sportsmanship, and service to others.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Assist in monitoring and document academic progress of select teams and student-athletes.
  2. Meet with coaches to discuss academic progress of select teams.
  3. Maintain student rosters, compile and maintain grades in university systems and NCAA Compliance Assistant.
  4. Assist the Assistant Athletic Director for NCAA Compliance and Director for Student-Athlete Services in ensuring, monitoring and maintaining NCAA Academic Eligibility, including Initial Eligibility and Continuing Eligibility.
  5. Supervise study table and tutoring of select students.
  6. Assist with registration and advising of student-athletes.
  7. Assist with maintaining student-athlete academic center.
  8. Assist in developing student-athlete service programming including but not limited to career. development, financial literacy, mental health, welfare and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, etc.
  9. Assist in developing, arranging and overseeing the community outreach initiatives.
  10. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

  

Minimum Qualifications

Education: A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or 18 months to four years of work experience in a related field.
Experience: Two years to five years.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Well-polished communication and interpersonal skills; excellent leadership and motivational skills; willing and able to drive 15 passenger vans.


Physical Requirements

Job requires repetitively lifting light weight objects where frequent bending or stooping alternates with lighter activities.


Work Environment

Occasional exposure to objectionable conditions or variations such as those found in variable weather conditions or light industrial settings.


Licenses/Certifications

Valid Driver’s License


Salary/Pay Information

Commensurate with experience


Anticipated Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with nights and weekends as necessary
