Join our team as the Director of Learning, Training and Development where you’ll lead agency-wide learning and development initiatives that elevate staff performance, strengthen leadership, and enhance employee engagement—all while supporting our mission of service.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct agency-wide assessments to identify learning and development needs, with an initial focus on Program teams
- Develop actionable strategies in partnership with the Executive Team to support talent development
- Design and implement impactful programs that align with organizational and strategic goals
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team
- Plan, evaluate, and continuously improve development programs using data and workforce metrics
- Drive employee engagement efforts, including staff appreciation, DEI, and feedback initiatives
- Oversee coaching, mentoring, onboarding, and leadership development programs
- Collaborate on performance management rollouts and ensure DSP evaluation compliance
- Partner with HR and the HRIS Administrator to leverage the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Ensure alignment of all programs with OPWDD standards and agency values
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in designing and leading organization-wide talent development programs (e.g., performance management, coaching, succession planning)
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience
- Strong project management, organizational, and presentation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently
- Valid NYS driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- 5+ years of experience in talent development, preferably within human services or healthcare settings
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning tools
- Experience in residential or developmental disability services
- Understanding of compliance and documentation standards in human services
