Description

The Facilities Lead will support the Director of Operations in managing the upkeep and operations of CCCF offices, facilities and affordable housing units across the Diocese. Should have strong technical skills, leadership capabilities, and a deep commitment to serving residents with professionalism and care. This role plays a key part in ensuring that all properties are maintained in a safe, habitable, and dignified manner in line with CCCF expectations and affordable housing standards and regulatory compliance.


General Functions & Responsibilities: 

  •  Assist in planning and executing maintenance programs, preventative maintenance, and capital projects across all properties.
  • Lead, train, and support maintenance technicians and janitorial staff, ensuring high standards of service delivery, cleanliness, and responsiveness.
  • Perform and oversee skilled maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, painting, and general property upkeep.
  • Conduct regular inspections of units and common areas to identify safety issues, deferred maintenance, and compliance with local housing codes and HUD/LIHTC standards.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance situations in a timely and professional manner; participate in on-call rotation.
  • Maintain documentation of work orders, inspections, repairs, and unit turnover processes using maintenance software systems (RealPage).
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and contractors; ensure quality of outsourced work meets property standards and budget.
  • Support the Director of Operations in maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, including REAC/NSPIRE inspections, ADA accessibility, and fair housing guidelines.
  • Foster respectful, service-oriented relationships with residents, prioritizing dignity, safety, and clear communication in all interactions.
  • Working knowledge of building systems and the ability to perform repairs with minimal supervision. 
  • Preforms other duties as assigned.
     
Requirements
  • Should have a High school diploma or equivalent required vocational training, apprenticeship or equivalent in experience in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems preferred. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in residential/commercial maintenance or remodeling. Familiarity with HUD, REAC, and other regulatory standards related to housing/facilities maintenance.  
  • Proficiency in using work order software, Microsoft suite and digital tools for maintenance tracking and reporting.
  • Excellent communication in English both verbally and written. Fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred.
  • Must have the ability to work evenings, weekends and the ability to work on call.  
  • Must have a valid Florida driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable transportation and insurance as determined by the insurance carrier for the Diocese of Orlando.
