SUMMARY
This is a stipend position like other coaching roles.The role of this staff member is to be responsible for the coordination and facilitation of supplemental strength and wellness training for Bishop Moore Catholic athletic programs. Additionally, this member may be tasked with event management, facility analysis, and equipment inventory for the Moore Center for Excellence and surrounding athletic complex.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties and functions, as outlined herein, are intended to be representative of the type of tasks performed within this classification. They are not listed in an order of importance. The omission of specific statements of the duties or functions does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Coordinate and supervise within The Moore Center for Excellence weight room and wellness facility, engaging a variety of athletic teams with specific training.
- Educate student athletes on physical fitness, strength training, conditioning, and other forms of wellbeing specific to the sport they play.
- Apply and enforce student discipline in the weight room, providing proper technique and safety when utilizing or operating any training equipment.
- Serve as a point of contact and supervisor for coaches, alumni, and special guests seeking to utilize the weight room or athletic complex for workouts.
- Facilitate and record all necessary forms, waivers and procedures for facility usage as needed.
- Create, coordinate and submit monthly inventory reports for all athletic programs utilizing the weight and equipment rooms within The Moore Center for Excellence.
- Attend staff meetings at the discretion of the Athletic Director.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Athletic Director or other appropriate administrators.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Must successfully pass Diocesan Safe Environment Training and Background Screening process.
- Certified in strength and conditioning.
- 2-4 years of experience coordinating athletic strength and conditioning programs.
- Must meet the training needs of 19 varsity sports ranging from football, basketball and baseball to girls soccer, softball and track and field.
- Must possess effective interpersonal skills.
- Must possess knowledge of The Moore Center facility and greater athletic complex.
- Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, opponents, staff, parents and students.
- Must be organized and able to compile data on miscellaneous facets of athletic logistics.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and similar shared Google formats.
- Ability to multitask and coordinate a plethora of both athletic complex and evening events.
- Demonstrated ability to instruct and supervise student athletes.
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must possess the ability to relate to students and to serve as a positive role model and BMC Ambassador for all constituents that enter the athletic complex or Moore Center.
- Should be energetic and passionate for the BMC community.
- Should be a progressive thinker but a believer in planning and preparation.
