We have a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our students! Lunchroom Monitors play a key role in creating a safe, welcoming, and orderly environment during lunch. They provide structure and support while modeling kindness and respect—helping students feel known, loved, and valued in one of the most social parts of their day.
We are looking for Christian role models who love Jesus and children—individuals who bring calm, joy, and attentiveness to their interactions. A passion for relationship-building, an eye for safety, and a heart for service are essential qualities for this role.
Hours: 10:30am-1:00pm (Monday-Friday)
· Supervise and support Lower School students during lunch periods.
· Create a calm and respectful lunch environment by modeling positive behavior and reinforcing expectations.
· Assist students with opening food items, cleaning up, and managing lunchroom routines.
· Monitor student behavior and provide gentle guidance or redirection as needed.
· Communicate with teachers regarding any significant student behavior or concerns.
· Help manage transitions to and from the lunchroom in an organized and timely manner.
· Ensure cleanliness and safety protocols are followed in accordance with school policies.
· Provide weekly updates or relevant observations to the Lower School Principal.
Qualifications:
· Prior experience working with children in educational, church, or caregiving settings.
· Strong Christian faith with a heart for service and a love for children.
· Active involvement in a local church and alignment with born-again Christian beliefs.
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Ability to maintain a calm and caring presence in a busy, dynamic environment.
Work Environment:
· This position requires walking and standing for most of the shift in an indoor cafeteria setting.
· Must be able to assist young children as needed, including helping with food items, spills, or minor clean-up tasks.
· Noise levels may vary based on student activity.
