Description

We are seeking a collaborative and mission-driven P-T HR Manager to join our team in a job-shared capacity alongside our Benefits Manager. The HR Manager will focus on key areas such as staffing, performance management, employee engagement, compliance, and thought partnership with leadership.


Key Responsibilities: HR Focus

  • Partner with leadership to develop and implement HR plans aligned with priorities.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining HR programs that support staff and organizational needs.
  • Support change management with clear communication and practical actions.
  • Guide leaders in fostering a culture aligned with core values and team unity.

Performance Management and Employee Engagement

  • Collaborate with leadership on performance review programs that motivate staff.
  • Advise leaders on HR matters including engagement, performance, and culture.
  • Oversee reviews and provide feedback to maintain a motivated team.
  • Support staff development linked to growth plans.
  • Address workplace conflicts fairly and confidentially, reflecting Christ-centered values.

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Maintain and update the employee handbook.
  • Ensure fair compensation practices.
  • Manage employee relations and legal issues, resolving complaints.
  • Oversee investigations with confidentiality and risk management.

Selection and Staffing

  • Guide workforce planning and organizational design to align talent with needs.
  • Manage recruitment, hiring, onboarding, retention, and offboarding processes.
  • Ensure new hires receive a positive welcome and necessary resources for success.

Shared Responsibilities Summary:
The key job-shared responsibilities will include the following: oversight of compliance reporting (EEOC, OSHA, DOL), manage ADA accommodations, lead ACA audits, maintain job descriptions, and handle faculty contract renewals.
 

Requirements

 Education 

  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience across key HR functions (related experience considered)
  • Proven experience applying HR practices in compliance with current employment laws and regulations
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred

  • Is able to effectively integrate the gospel-centered message into day-to-day responsibilities effectively.
  • Proactively seeks ways to improve how the school and church presents itself from a Christian perspective.
  • Born again believer who exhibits the Fruit of the Spirit in their daily walk
  • Regular attendee and supporter of a church whose fundamental beliefs are evangelical in nature

  • Confident, positive demeanor with ability to build trusting relationships with leadership and employees. 
  • Self-starter, with aptitude for independently owning and building HR initiatives and proactively soliciting resources needed to carry initiatives to success. 
  • Demonstrated business acumen – ability to navigate organizational systems, collaborating cross-functionally, and respond effectively to spoken and unspoken social cues with poise and professionalism. 
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with strong emphasis on interpersonal and professional communication ability. 
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, databases, and Outlook. 
  • A high degree of flexibility with aptitude to handle multiple priorities with pressing time constraints. 
  • Genuine interest to align mission and values with operational practices.
