Hours: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm, Mon - Fri
Pay: $19.00 /hr +, Depending on Experience
Your Purpose will be:
The person in this position will deliver an exceptional member service/loan experience through expert knowledge of the loan process. They will receive approved loan applications from the department FSR, gather and process all necessary documentation, and coordinate loan closings. Also, every employee is responsible for fulfilling our Mission Statement: To improve the financial well-being of our members, while providing world class service.
What you’ll do:
- Help achieve department goals by effectively and efficiently processing and closing approved loan applications.
- Coordinate loan closing with member via, phone calls, email, and collaboration with other CU departments.
- Acquire necessary documentation to support loan application.
- Verify loan documentation is correct and accurate, and to collaborate with department FSRs to resolve discrepancies prior to funding.
- Promote all other Credit Union products and services cross sold on loans. (GAP, MMP and Debt Cancellation to list a few.)
- Contact members through outbound calls and email to remedy exceptions to previously funded loans.
- Assist in converting referral leads from branches.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Understands the Bank Secrecy Act and how it is applied.

The experience you need to succeed:
- One to three years experience working with loans in a banking or credit union environment.
- Financial/lending/sales call center environment experience preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required.
- Must have High School diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
- Proven effective communication skills.
- Proficient with standard office business machinery and software.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Works primarily in an office environment. This includes but is not limited to various outdoor and indoor climates.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly need to: see, talk, hear, and perform repetitive movements with arms, hands, and fingers to handle, feel, grasp and reach. A computer, phone possibly including a smart phone, and standard office equipment are normal tools for this position. Specific vision abilities that may be required by this job include close vision and distance vision. The employee may at times also need to: climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
