Description

SUMMARY:

Applies general principles of accounting and maintains consistent financial data for reporting purposes.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred. One to three years of accounting experience. Extensive knowledge of accounting principles. Proficiency with personal computer and spreadsheet software packages. Strong verbal and written   communication skills. Detail oriented, analytical skills, ability to solve accounting related problems and developing creative alternative solutions to   problems.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

1. Cash Management: Posting cash transactions, bank reconciliation, cash flow   forecasting, monitoring cash positions across all banks and subsidiaries in   the region.

Provide regular updates to   leadership and implementing internal controls to prevent fraud.

2. Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, including income   statement and balance sheet accounts reconciliations.

Maintain financial records and   ensure the timely and accurate completion of financial statements.

3. Compliance  and Audit Preparation: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and   local financial regulations, including tax and financial reporting   requirements.

Assist in preparing   documentation and records for audits and collaborate with auditors as needed.

4. Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide   recommendations to school leadership.

Support strategic   decision-making by providing financial forecasts, trend analyses, and   financial impact assessments.

5. Policy Development and Implementation: Help develop, implement, and maintain   financial policies and procedures. Ensure adherence to financial policies and   provide training or guidance to staff as needed.

6. Ad Hoc Tasks: Undertake additional duties or assignment outside of regular   responsibilities when required, ensuring flexibility in meeting changing   business needs.

Requirements

Primarily an office/sedentary position. May require some degree of intermittent bending, stooping, reaching, and stretching. May require lifting and carrying of up to 20 lbs.
