REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's of Arts degree  
  • Washington State teacher credential (required)
  • Immunization Records or waiver (must include MMR, antibody titer labs, or exemption documents)
  • Pass both local and federal background checks.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Integrate Biblical worldview into daily lessons, classroom discussions, and interactions, helping students see God’s truth in every subject.
  • Plan and deliver engaging instruction that meets curriculum and state standards and supports diverse learning needs.
  • Assess student progress through assignments, projects, and evaluations, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Cultivate a safe, respectful, and joyful classroom culture where students feel valued and encouraged to grow academically and spiritually.
  • Lead students in prayer, devotionals, and spiritual reflection, fostering habits of faith and discipleship.
  • Partner with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress and needs, determine their priorities for their children, and suggest ways that they can promote learning and development.
  • Prepare and organize materials and classrooms for class activities.
  • Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
  • Positively support the school's policies and practices and work collaboratively in a professional organization.
  • Build partnerships with parents through proactive communication.
  • Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and communicate those objectives to children while adapting teaching methods and materials to meet varying student interests.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and administrators.
  • Employees may be required to follow other job-related instructions or perform other job-related duties requested by a supervisor in compliance with Federal and State Laws
  • Attend staff meetings
  • Other duties as assigned.


Currently have or willingness to obtain:

  • Complete Child Sex Abuse Training 
  • TB Test (results within 1 year)
  • Immunization Records or waiver (must include MMR, antibody titer labs, or exemption documents)
  • Child Care Basics Training (Initial 30 Hours STARS or Exempt)
  • First Aid and CPR Certification
