- Bachelor's of Arts degree
- Washington State teacher credential (required)
- Immunization Records or waiver (must include MMR, antibody titer labs, or exemption documents)
- Pass both local and federal background checks.
JOB DUTIES:
- Integrate Biblical worldview into daily lessons, classroom discussions, and interactions, helping students see God’s truth in every subject.
- Plan and deliver engaging instruction that meets curriculum and state standards and supports diverse learning needs.
- Assess student progress through assignments, projects, and evaluations, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Cultivate a safe, respectful, and joyful classroom culture where students feel valued and encouraged to grow academically and spiritually.
- Lead students in prayer, devotionals, and spiritual reflection, fostering habits of faith and discipleship.
- Partner with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress and needs, determine their priorities for their children, and suggest ways that they can promote learning and development.
- Prepare and organize materials and classrooms for class activities.
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
- Positively support the school's policies and practices and work collaboratively in a professional organization.
- Build partnerships with parents through proactive communication.
- Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and communicate those objectives to children while adapting teaching methods and materials to meet varying student interests.
- Collaborate with other teachers and administrators.
- Employees may be required to follow other job-related instructions or perform other job-related duties requested by a supervisor in compliance with Federal and State Laws
- Attend staff meetings
- Other duties as assigned.
Currently have or willingness to obtain:
- Complete Child Sex Abuse Training
- TB Test (results within 1 year)
- Immunization Records or waiver (must include MMR, antibody titer labs, or exemption documents)
- Child Care Basics Training (Initial 30 Hours STARS or Exempt)
- First Aid and CPR Certification
