Supports the overall business plan and strategic direction of the within the region by ensuring that all inventory items are properly identified and readily accessible in accordance with the organization’s inventory cycle, coordinating the organization’s supply chain, managing the lifecycle of products.

BioMed & Inventory Control Supervisor Essential Functions

  • Models and holds others accountable to the Barnes culture and acts as a coach and mentor for others in the organization.
  • Provides overall leadership and guidance for BioMed & Inventory Control in support of the company's mission, vision, and purpose.
  • Conveys clear performance expectations, follows up consistently, and enforces individual accountability for the team.
  • Communicates with operations leaders regarding the repair & maintenance, availability, and deployment of respiratory equipment.
  • Collaborates with other operating divisions, functions, and support services to drive efficiencies, maximize value, and achieve organizational objectives.
  • Ensures that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organizational structure, resource deployment, process efficiency, and facilities are in line with the organizations business plan and vision.
  • Tracks and reports on operating results to ensure consistent growth and progress towards achieving organizational goals and communicates them appropriately.
  • Other related duties as assigned.


BioMed & Inventory Control Supervisor Minimum Qualifications and Skills

  • An BS/BA degree or equivalent experience required. 
  • A minimum of 5 years of related experience in BioMed, Home Medical Equipment operations, or closely related field required.
  • A minimum of 1-year supervisory experience strongly preferred. 


Working Conditions

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Some travel possible. 
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
