Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a short-term private duty assignments supporting a post-operative client throughout the Austin area. This role is perfect for compassionate nurses with strong clinical experience looking for immediate, short-term work — with the potential for future assignments through our agency.   

Assignment Location: Austin
Pay Rate: $45/hour

Assignment Type: Temporary (with potential for future shifts)

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one nursing care in a home setting
• Monitor post-op recovery and manage care plan per physician’s orders
• Manage post-operative drains (required)
• Document vitals and changes in client condition
• Communicate effectively with client, family, and care team
• Ensure client comfort and safety at all times

• Active RN license in Texas (Required)
• At least 2 years of post-op nursing experience in a hospital setting (Required)
• Experience with post-operative drains (Required)
• CPR/BLS certification
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• Able to work independently in a home care environment
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
