IT Systems Administrator (on-site)
Description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Systems Administrator with demonstrated expertise in administering Microsoft Cloud services, including SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our Microsoft 365 environment, ensuring seamless collaboration and secure access to enterprise resources. This role is ideal for a professional with hands-on experience in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Microsoft cloud services in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  1. Administer and support Microsoft 365 services including SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive for Business, and Exchange Online.
  2. Implement and manage cloud-based solutions to enhance collaboration, file sharing, and document management.
  3. Maintain and enforce governance policies, permissions, and access controls within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
  4. Monitor system performance, availability, and security, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
  5. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement IT solutions that meet business requirements.
  6. Support end-users and IT team members with technical issues related to Microsoft cloud services.
  7. Perform regular backups and ensure data integrity across all cloud services.
  8. Manage user accounts, licenses, and group policies in Azure Active Directory.
  9. Stay current with Microsoft product updates and recommend improvements or new technologies.
  10. Other duties as needed or assigned.
Requirements

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator with a focus on Microsoft 365 cloud services.
  • 3+ years of hands-on administration of SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive for Business.
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft 365 admin center, Azure Active Directory, and related security/compliance tools.
  • Experience in managing permissions, data migration, and user training in a Microsoft cloud environment.
  • Solid understanding of networking, system security, and data protection best practices.
  • Microsoft certifications such as MS-100, MS-101, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate are a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and administrative tasks preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) and device management preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Office 365 and security/compliance center configuration preferred.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of are generally light and primarily aligned with office-based work unless visiting operational facilities/sites.

Specific requirements include:

  • Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer or other digital devices.
  • Frequent use of hands for typing, writing, and handling office equipment.
  • Occasional walking during on-site visits to different areas within the organization.
  • Active listening and clear speech are essential for effectively supporting and coaching leaders and employees.
  • Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 25 pounds 
  • Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment as required 
  • Availability for on-call support and occasional after-hours work for maintenance or troubleshooting.
  • Travel as needed

Salary Description
$85,000-$105,000
