Position Overview:
The Quality Compliance Specialist ensures adherence to Berner’s quality and compliance standards across internal operations and customer-facing processes. This role supports the company’s commitment to food safety and regulatory compliance, particularly within a food and beverage manufacturing environment. The specialist plays a key role in maintaining Safe Quality Food (SQF) certification and other regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in internal and external audits, including audit preparation, documentation, and corrective action follow-up.
- Monitor compliance with food safety and quality programs, including HACCP, GMPs, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct internal inspections and risk assessments to identify and address compliance gaps.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality systems and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and organized records to support traceability and regulatory inspections.
- Provide training and guidance for staff on compliance-related topics and quality standards.
- Stay current with industry regulations, customer requirements, and certification standards.
Qualifications
- Associate's or bachelor’s degree in food science, Quality Assurance, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in a quality or compliance role within a food or beverage manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of SQF, HACCP, GMPs, and FDA regulations.
- Experience with audit processes and regulatory inspections.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in both office and manufacturing environments.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility.
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.. may be required.
- Must adhere to all safety and hygiene protocols.
Pay Range: $65000.00-85,000.00 - Salary (based on experience)
