Key Responsibilities

The Lead Inspector is responsible for recording all functions on applicable paperwork in accordance with the specific requirements. Responsible for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) of Aircraft Components. Have the skills and knowledge to set-up and standardize equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document results. Be familiar with the scope and limitations of the technique/method. Possess basic knowledge of relevant product manufacturing and inspection technology. The ability to lead others effectively with integrity. 

Key Deliverables of the Role 

1) Accurate and Compliant Documentation – Maintain complete and accurate inspection records, logs, and reports.

2) Accurate and Timely Part Inspections - Conduct thorough and reliable NDT inspections on aircraft components, ensuring integrity and compliance with safety standards.

3) Non- Conformance Management – Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming parts. 

4) Tooling and Equipment Accuracy – Ensure inspection tools are calibrated and used properly. 

5) Regulatory & Safety Adherence - Maintain compliance with FAA regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Report any safety hazards or violations. 

6) Continuous Improvement Contribution & Flexibility – Suggest process improvements to enhance quality or efficiency. 

7) Collaboration & Communication – Provide clear, timely updates on inspection status and issues. 

Requirements

  

Required Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Technical Competencies

1) Mechanical Aptitude – Demonstrated examples (on the job or outside of work) showing competency to work with hands. 

2) Manual Dexterity – Ability to perform a job that requires detailed handwork. 

3) Experience with Process Standards – Demonstrated ability to read, understand and execute to written instruction.

4) Inspection Techniques - Proficient in visual, dimensional, and documentation-based inspections. Experience using inspection tools. Ability to interpret tolerances and specifications. 

5) Technical Communication - Ability to clearly communicate technical findings in verbal and written form.
