POSITION SUMMARY


This position is part of the Electrical and Instrumentation Division of BLS Electrical (BLSE) and has a full range of responsibilities that include but are not limited to installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems. This is a full-time position working Monday - Friday with a limited possibility of overtime on the weekends. As an I&E Technician with BLS Electrical, your primary responsibilities will be to repair and install instrumentation and electrical equipment.

Requirements

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Completion of day-to-day operations as well as routine and scheduled maintenance.
  • Lead efforts to develop and implement changes to improve operational efficiency and safety.
  • Responsible for all activities related to electrical and control integrity including design, installation, inspection, maintenance, operation, troubleshooting, repair, calibration and adjusting various pneumatic, hydraulic, electric, electronic and Programmable Logic (PLC) control systems.
  • Modify, repair and/or replace systems and equipment.
  • Interprets technical drawings: P&ID, One Lines, Panel layouts, and cable schedule.
  • Repair and maintenance of a variety of instrumentation and control equipment
  • Maintain facility instrumentation and controls to achieve maximum efficiency and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and repair motor control centers, electrical distribution systems, motors, and other electrical equipment.
  • Adheres to company safety policies and participate in company safety meetings.
  • Assists in measurement, maintenance, or operations as needed.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is a requirement.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED or higher level. Electrical schooling preferred.
  • Experience: Five (5) years electrical experience in a Oil Field & Automation environment preferred
  • Licenses/Certifications: Valid Driver's License and a CO Electrical Journeyman License Required.
  • Skills/Equipment: Able to communicate effectively (i.e., reading, writing, speaking) in the English language.

ADDITIONAL

  • Able to provide your own hand tools.
  • Able to read blueprints.
  • Able to guide and direct an apprentice from beginning to end of a job.
  • Competent documentation skills
  • Able to work in both commercial and industrial environments.

Salary Description
$30.00 - $38.00 hourly
