Description

We are looking to hire a full-time Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic who is responsible for diagnostics and repairing the mechanical & electrical parts of heavy-duty diesel tractors/trucks.


Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
  • Diagnose issues and respond promptly to equipment failures.
  • Maintain, repair, and service all vehicle components, including engines, electrical systems, wheels, tires, brakes, axles, suspension, and bodywork.
  • Provide own tools, toolbox, and air tools.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Perform all duties with honesty, integrity, efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate records for each repair and service performed.

Requirements

  • Physically capable of lifting, bending, and working with manual and power tools (must be able to lift up to 100 lbs).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic welding skills preferred (Oxy/Acetylene, MIG, and ARC).
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or willingness to obtain one.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on fleet mechanic experience.
  • Proficient with diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Experience performing routine maintenance and service tasks.
  • Skilled in inspecting vehicles for faults and performing necessary repairs.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare accurate work estimates and quotes.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Pass background check.

Schedule

  • Full-time
  • Day Shift
  • Monday-Friday
  • Weekends as needed
