Description

This leadership role demands expertise in cost management, financial reporting, and compliance within the healthcare manufacturing industry. The Controller will work closely with senior leadership to deliver insights that enhance operational efficiency and strategic growth.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on sales performance, manufacturing efficiency, and cash flow.
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Develop and maintain cost accounting systems to ensure accurate manufacturing cost and inventory reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, financial regulations, and internal policies—especially as they relate to manufacturing.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, including detailed variance analysis.
  • Implement financial controls and operational processes to enhance cost efficiency and accuracy.
  • Partner with production management to establish, maintain, and monitor manufacturing KPIs.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
  • Manage internal and external audit activities focused on manufacturing financials.
  • Support ERP system optimization, with a focus on financial data integrity and reporting accuracy.
  • Provide senior management with actionable financial insights to guide strategic planning and operations.
  • Assist with company-wide financial consolidations.
  • Lead and collaborate on the annual standard cost update process.
  • Develop comprehensive analysis of manufacturing variances, including material usage, labor, overhead, and purchase price discrepancies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years of finance/accounting experience, including 3+ years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Deep knowledge of cost accounting, inventory control, and financial analysis within a manufacturing context.
  • Proficiency in ERP and financial management systems; IQMS experience preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills and capability to manage and interpret large datasets.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
