Programs Support Coordinator
Description

The Programs Support Specialist is responsible for developing and delivering educational workshops (in-person, virtual, and pre-recorded), creating resources, and providing comprehensive training. This role involves assessing and implementing training across the entire service area, including any expansions. Team members must uphold the organization's mission, values, and professionalism in various public, social, and business settings. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative spirit, and a commitment to help fight hunger.

The Program Support Specialist will be comfortable learning new technology as well as an eagerness to utilize Arkansas Foodbank software systems. They will possess strong interpersonal skills, a spirit of collaboration and teamwork, and a commitment to hunger relief. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and deliver workshops, assess partner training needs, and ensure coverage across all service areas.
  2. Ensure compliance requirements, including State, Federal, Organizational, Feeding America, Health, Food Safety, and Facility Operation Standards.
  3. Maintain training records
  4. Uphold confidentiality and security standards.
  5. Serve as a liaison, provide training updates, and develop resource materials.
  6. Organize training sessions, coordinate with partners, and support organizational initiatives.
  7. Assist with reporting, data tracking, and general program operations while upholding the organization's mission and values.
  8. Responsible for reviewing and understanding grant funding agreements, managing grant documentation, and planning the annual Agency Appreciation Day event.
  9. Manage internal and external communications for the Programs Department, including newsletters, emails, social media, and AFB website resource pages.
  10. Research external resources to support all partners, maintain thorough recordkeeping and auditing processes.
  11. Identify and cultivate community partnerships to expand the Arkansas Foodbank’s reach and impact.
  12. Travel within the state up to 25% of the time.

Working Conditions

This job operates in the community and a professional office environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to hot and/or humid conditions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift/move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. Frequently required to operate vehicles.

Requirements

The following qualifications are preferred for the candidate or employee; however, other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements upon approval of management. 


The equivalent of a bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) preferably in Social Work, Business, Nonprofit Management, Community Development, Health Administration, or a related field and Minimum two (2) years of experience in community outreach, service leadership, social services, or related field. 

OR

Four (4) years of experience in business administration, project management, public service, human services, non-profit management or community development-related experience public service, human services, non-profit management, or community development-related experience. 

  • Experience in a non-profit organization is preferred
  • Valid Arkansas driver’s license and proof of insurance
  • Willing to travel 25% in-state as needed 
  • Valid Arkansas driver’s license 
  • Must pass preemployment background check and  drug screening
Salary Description
20.67/hour
