Position Overview

Dynics is seeking a skilled Electronics Engineer to design, test, and support electronic systems within our industrial computer and HMI product lines. This role involves circuit design, board-level debugging, component selection, compliance testing, and collaboration with cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle.

  

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electronic circuits for industrial computing products, including SBCs, power systems, I/O modules, and embedded controllers.
  • Create schematics, BOMs, and documentation using industry-standard CAD tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD, KiCad).
  • Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams to bring designs from concept to production.
  • Perform board-level testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other test equipment.
  • Evaluate new components, technologies, and suppliers for product improvement and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards (UL, CE, FCC, IEC, RoHS).
  • Support production engineering with test procedures, design updates, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in sustaining engineering for current products, including component end-of-life (EOL) redesign work.

Schedule: Monday to Friday

This role is onsite at our Ann Arbor office. We are unable to consider non-local applicants or provide relocation support. This position is time-sensitive and will be filled quickly.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in electronics or embedded hardware design (or strong hands-on internship experience).
  • Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design.
  • Proficiency in firmware development and embedded programming languages such as C.
  • Experience with PCB schematic capture and layout tools.
  • Proficiency using test benches and instruments for validation and debugging.
  • Understanding of EMC/EMI design and regulatory compliance practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical specifications and datasheets.
  • Strong problem-solving and documentation skills.

  Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing PCBs for industrial, ruggedized, or embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with x86 or ARM-based computing platforms.
  • Experience with power supply design (DC-DC converters, filtering, protection).
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET).
  • Experience with DFM/DFT and working directly with manufacturers.
