Job Summary:
The Lead Distribution QC Technician at Precision Spine plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and compliance of medical devices post the manufacturing process. This role is responsible for leading the Quality Department's daily activities associated with receiving inspection of returned devices and final inspection of completed kits/loose parts prior to shipment, as well as MRB facilitation and customer complaint support.
Essential Functions:
• Receive and perform visual and dimensional verification on implants and instruments
returned to PSI after in-field use.
• Provide final inspection on all completed kits and lose parts prior to order
fulfillment
• Receipt and inspection of complaint product, RMA’s, and newly bagged/labeled
devices
• Maintain gages in active calibration status and request new ones when needed
• Facilitate MRB meetings and advise on product dispositions
• Complete MRB/NCMR product investigations upon request
• Training new hires to QC Distribution
• Additional duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Minimum 1 years experience in quality inspection
• Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel)
• Mechanical inspection skill sets in use of measurement instrumentation
• Ability to read and interpret engineering design blueprints
