Description

Reporting to the IT Director, the Team Assistant gathers, enters, updates and processes all clinical documentation from the clinical team into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

  • Process admissions accurately and timely according to payor for assigned team following technical admission checklist
  • Processes re-certifications timely and accurately following re-cert technical checklist
  • Ensures certifications are created timely for Insurance payors
  • Data entry of all clinical information in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Processes NTUC accurately and timely
  • Monitor and problem solve Validation Hold so timely billing can occur
  • Assist Field staff with changes needed in EMR such as demographic and other changes
  • Assist Field staff with visit management
  • Generates reports as requested according to schedule.
  • Assist field staff in obtaining electronic consents from DPOA
  • Process data and coordinate with other departments to close end of month
  • Monitors TA email and fax box

Other Job Functions

  

  • Completes additional assignments and/or tasks as needed and directed by Manager.
  • Utilizes customer service approach when interacting with patients and staff, peers and managers. 
  • Utilizes supervision appropriately. 
  • Provides routine care to office equipment and printers used to perform job. 
  • Maintains patient/client and agency confidentiality at all times. 
  • Accepts other duties as assigned.
  • Performs job duties in a safe manner in order to prevent injury to yourself and others


Requirements
  1. High school diploma or higher, or equivalent combination of education and/or work experienced required.
  2. One to two years of healthcare office experience preferred
  3. Experience using Electronic Medical Records
  4. Experience using excel and pivot tables

Expected Hours of Work

The employee will be scheduled to work Monday - Friday; 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.    

This is not a remote position but may be eligible for work from home one day per week as per the discretion of the director, agency needs, and team member performance.

Work assignments may include holidays.
