The Placement Coordinator is responsible for securing job placements, internships, and apprenticeships for program participants by building and maintaining relationships with employers in the clean energy, construction, and related sectors. The role ensures participants are prepared for employment, matched to appropriate opportunities, and supported through onboarding and initial retention phases.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain partnerships with employers, unions, and training providers
• Identify and post job opportunities aligned with participants' skills and training
• Organize employer panels, job fairs, site visits, and hiring events
• Work with program staff to prepare participants for interviews and employment
• Track placement outcomes and support retention through employer check-ins
• Maintain employer database and ensure timely follow-up and reporting
• Assist with resume reviews, application support, and onboarding documentation
Bachelor’s in Business, Workforce Development, Human Resources, or related field
2+ years experience in employer engagement or job placement
Strong relationship-building, organizational, and communication skills
Knowledge of regional labor market trends preferred.
