Job Summary

The Clinical Director is responsible for providing management of all clinical functions at all sites. Responsible for providing effective leadership to the clinical staff, has knowledge of the organization, provides marketing support for the company, and directs all clinical services within the facilities in accordance with standards of State and Federal regulations.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Maintains an effective clinical organizational structure and delegates appropriate authority for completion of assigned responsibilities.
  • Functions as leader of Clinical Staff Meetings.
  • Effective scheduling of groups and facilitation of groups.
  • Manage clinical team’s time efficiently to ensure work is complete. Track productivity of each team member.
  • Implements plans for performance improvement.
  • Evaluates quality of program on an ongoing basis.
  • Develops cost-effective methods to provide service.
  • Provides for staff development (i.e. supervision, educational, etc.)
  • Facilitates communication with ancillary services.
  • Attends clinical and administrative meetings to share information inter-departmentally.
  • Meets with clinical staff weekly.
  • Supervises interns completing a field placement unless delegated to Clinical Supervisor.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of administrative and clinical policies and procedures, and the ability to communicate these clearly and accurately to staff.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of emergency procedures; ability to communicate these procedures clearly and accurately.
  • Displays ability to direct and supervise Program activities.
  • Ensures program efficacy through the use of audit tools based on program KPIs. Prepares reports showing data trends compared to prior months, uses data to make program changes when needed.
  • Maintains an effective and efficient daily staffing pattern within budgetary constraints.
  • Ensures clinical staff meets educational/licensure requirements.
  • Evaluates clinical staff based on specified performance standards, on a timely basis.
  • Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility to changes in the work environment.
  • Provides a safe and therapeutic environment to all staff and patients.
  • Assists in formulating standards for patient care.
  • Resolve client grievances.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • This is a partially on-site and partially remote-work position.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Accomplishes clinical human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.

  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (KIPU a plus); Microsoft Office (Excel/Word).

Education and Experience

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a minimum of a Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or health-related field.
  • Licensed with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (LAC, LPC, LMFT, LMSW, LCSW, LASAC, LISAC)
  • Minimum of 3 years management setting familiarity, with continuous Quality Improvement, and familiarity with Joint Commission standards.
  • Possess skills to relate to all levels of management staff.
  • Valid Driver's License and be insurable with our corporate insurance carrier
  • CPR/ First Aid certification

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
