As an Operations Manager (OM), you will play a key role in bringing our Five*Star service vision to life. You’ll work closely with the General Manager (GM) to lead our energetic and talented team, ensuring our high-end, resort-style, family-friendly athletic club operates smoothly, profitably, and most importantly, with heart.
As the OM, you will be the pulse of the club, helping develop a culture that empowers team members, fosters excellence, and delivers memorable experiences. You’ll mentor a dynamic team, oversee day-to-day operations, and make sure that every part of the club shines—literally and figuratively. Together with the GM, you’ll lead from the front, making every day a chance to help our team members and members thrive.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead with Purpose: Serve as the acting GM in their absence, ensuring continuity and a smooth operation of the club.
- Team Leadership: Hire, train, and inspire a high-performing team that’s as committed to excellence as you are.
- Culture Champion: Be the role model for acac’s culture, inspiring both your team members and members to embrace our commitment to Five*Star service. Your leadership will create an environment where team members want to excel.
- Financial Stewardship: Take ownership of your department's budgets, review financials, and ensure resources are used effectively to drive revenue and manage expenses.
- Facility Excellence: Regularly walk the facility, ensuring everything from cleanliness to maintenance is top-notch. A pristine environment is key to our success!
- Employee Growth: Conduct regular coaching and performance reviews to help your team members grow professionally and personally.
- Problem Solving: Whether it's a member concern or a facility issue, you’ll be quick to tackle challenges and implement solutions that make a difference.
- Continuous Learning: You’ll have plenty of opportunities to develop your own skills and grow into a well-rounded leader, while staying up-to-date with industry trends and acac’s best practices.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: At least 4 years in a leadership or management role within the athletic club, hospitality, or a similar service-oriented industry. Bonus points if you have experience in customer and team member recruitment and retention!
- Leadership: You’re someone who thrives on developing others. Your leadership style is positive, encouraging, and collaborative.
- Financial Acumen: You’ll be comfortable with budgets, financial reports, and the numbers that drive operational success.
- Communication: You’re an excellent communicator who knows how to listen, problem-solve, and create an open, transparent environment.
- Team Player: You’re flexible and eager to pitch in wherever needed to keep the club running smoothly.
