As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Manager to join our team to be a hands-on help desk manager and oversee all aspects of our firm’s technology infrastructure.
Position Summary:
The IT Manager will be responsible for the planning, implementation, management, and security of the firm’s IT infrastructure. This role is ideal for a hands-on technology leader with deep experience in network systems, cloud services, virtual desktop environments, and help desk operations in a professional services setting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Provide Tier 3 support and oversee help desk operations to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
· Supervise an IT Support Technician/Help Desk – Tier 2 Specialist.
· Manage outside consultants on projects and services provided for backup support.
· Lead the management and maintenance of all IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, cloud environments, and end-user systems.
· Oversee virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) deployments, ensuring secure, efficient access for remote and on-site staff.
· Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity protocols and compliance standards.
· Manage cloud platforms (Azure) for scalability, continuity, and performance.
· Collaborate with leadership to align IT strategy with business goals.
· Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.
Education and/or Experience
· 7+ years of IT experience, including infrastructure management and help desk support in a professional environment.
· Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
· Proven experience managing systems for mid-sized (100–200 person) companies.
· Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and project management skills.
· Required Certifications: CompTIA A+
· Preferred Certifications (one or more of the following strongly desired):
· Help Desk/Support:
o ITIL Foundation Certification
o Network+
· Cloud Infrastructure:
o Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
o AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
· Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI):
o VMware Certified Professional – Desktop and Mobility (VCP-DTM)
o Microsoft Certified: Windows Virtual Desktop Specialty
· Cybersecurity:
o CompTIA Security+
o Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
o Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
