Position Overview
This position reports to the FSQ Supervisor and is responsible for execution of Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) routines in manufacturing of aseptic food and beverage products.
Shift/Schedule:
3rd Shift: 10:00PM - 6:30AM

Job Responsibilities
- Execute Quality Monitoring Scheme routines across all manufacturing processes, including batching, processing, filling, and packaging.
- Execute physical and chemical testing of raw batches, finished products and any other testing as defined by the Quality Monitoring Scheme.
- Execute postproduction testing, including Microbiological testing on quarantine samples.
- Execute pre-operation routines, which includes sanitation approval for equipment and environment, and compliance against product change-over requirements.
- Execute CIP validation utilizing allergen swabs.
- Coordinate collection and storage of finished product samples during manufacturing operation.
- Execute hold routines including creating events for nonconforming ingredients, packaging material, raw batches, and finished products.
- Execute review and approval of food safety and quality records created throughout shift.
- Execute verification routines for Pre-Requisite records and Programs.
- Provide contribution towards root cause analysis and customer complaint investigations.
- Provide contribution towards maintenance and improvement of FSQ documentation practices.
- Scan/file records as needed.
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and housekeeping of FSQ Lab area.
- Other duties, as assigned by management.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate effectively written and verbally.
- Ability to document, describe and interpret records and documented specifications.
- Ability to enforce company procedures and policies.
- Ability to document inspection findings legibly and with accuracy.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
Preferred Qualifications
- BS in Food Science, Food Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in a QA function within food or beverage manufacturing industry.
- Work experience and trained in HACCP.
Working Conditions: Regularly exposed to wet and varying temperature conditions between 60-100 degrees Fahrenheit, loud noise, moving machinery parts, airborne particles, allergens including tree nuts, soy, tree nuts, coconut and milk and milk by-products, and fumes from food processing equipment.
