About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate Personal Injury Surgery Scheduler to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will serve as a critical liaison between patients, medical providers, and legal teams to ensure timely and accurate scheduling of surgical procedures related to personal injury cases. Your attention to detail and ability to navigate complex scheduling logistics will directly impact patient outcomes and case timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures for personal injury patients with physicians, surgical centers, and hospitals.
- Communicate with patients, attorneys, and case managers to gather necessary documentation and approvals.
- Verify insurance coverage, liens, and letters of protection (LOPs) to ensure financial clearance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the scheduling and EMR systems.
- Follow up with patients pre- and post-surgery to confirm appointments and provide instructions.
- Collaborate with billing and legal departments to ensure proper documentation and compliance.
- Handle urgent scheduling changes and resolve conflicts with professionalism and efficiency.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in medical scheduling, preferably in personal injury or surgical settings.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, surgical procedures, and legal documentation (LOPs, liens).
- Proficient in EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Experience working with personal injury attorneys or case managers.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality regulations.
