Lollypop Farm is in search of per diem veterinarians to perform HQHVSN surgeries to increase our spay/neuter services to the community and shelter pets. This per diem position has minimal client contact, follows quality medical protocol, and comes with a trained and capable support team of surgical technicians. Veterinarians must be able to schedule shifts up to two months in advance to supplement our surgery capacity and to cover vacations. Veterinarians must have the ability and comfort to tackle cryptorchids (inguinal and abdominal), pyometra surgeries, pregnant spays, and pediatric surgeries.

Essential Job Duties:
- Perform pre- and post-operative examinations.
- Perform, on average, up to 20 spay/neuter surgeries per day once fully up to speed.
- Provide vaccinations and limited medical care as needed.
- Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable state and federal laws.
- Observes all safety rules and regulations for self and others.
- Performs other duties as requested.
Education/Experience/Skills: DVM, VMD or equivalent Doctoral Veterinary degree with license to practice in New York State. Skilled in performing a high volume of spay and neuter surgeries, including on pediatric patients. Ability to perform necessary surgeries and medical treatments in accordance with accepted professional standard. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to make consistent and sound decisions regarding an animal’s health. Strong interpersonal skills working with a team.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain stationary during shift, move throughout the building and move weight up to 50 pounds. Frequently required to communicate with others. Occasionally required to move excessive weight.
