Description
As an Automotive Billing Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of paperwork for new and used vehicle deals and maintaining records in our dealership's systems. You will also provide valuable accounting and clerical support and collaborate effectively with our sales teams. The Accounting Inventory Clerk is responsible for accurately managing and maintaining the dealership’s vehicle inventory records, processing transactions, and supporting the accounting department.
Requirements
- Reconciles statements and ledgers making sure that payments are consistent with dealership schedules
- Bill New and used vehicle deals and post into accounting
- Bill wholesales and dealer trades and post into accounting
- Rebate and incentive verification and collection
- Process payments received for new and used car deals and dealer trades
- Perform account reconciliations
- Review account detail daily to identify issues, errors or irregularities
- Provide administrative support to management, other departments and employees as needed
- Provide support for and cross train in other business office positions
- Other duties as assigned
- Accurately input details of new and used vehicles (VIN, mileage, color, features) into dealership management systems.
- Process vehicle purchases, sales, and trade-in transactions, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete including payoffs and dealer trades
- Verify and update inventory costs, including factory invoices, shipping fees, and dealer-installed options.
- Process wholesales
Requirements: - Previous experience in accounting, inventory management, or a similar role (automotive dealership experience preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with dealership management systems (e.g., CDK) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent (an associate degree in accounting or a related field is a plus).
