We are seeking a Board-Certified Music Therapist to join our team of dedicated mental health professionals, working with children and adolescents in a psychiatric inpatient setting. This is a unique opportunity to combine your passion for music with therapeutic practice to help patients heal, grow, and meet their treatment goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement music therapy interventions 
  • Set and track measurable goals and objectives for each patient 
  • Evaluate patient progress and modify treatment as needed 
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team and participate in team meetings and rounds 
  • Document sessions, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with clinical standards 
  • Engage patients through various music therapy techniques tailored to their emotional, cognitive, and behavioral needs

Requirements

 

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy or equivalent
  • Board Certification through the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT) 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age 
  • Must obtain and maintain CPR and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention with Advanced Physical Skills within 3 months of hire
     

Preferred:

  • 1–3 years of experience working with children and adolescents in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting
