Description
As a body shop technician, you will be responsible for preparing damaged vehicles repaired by the body shop for painting.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Quality inspects body repair work
- Mask for overspray
- Prep repaired areas for primer
- Spray primer on all repaired areas
- Block-sand primed areas
- Prep new parts panels for blend
- Repair scratches, chips prior to painting
- Buff re-finished product
- Must comply with federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA
- Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the company’s values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and vendors
- Maintain a clean work area
- Other duties assigned by management
