Summary: Mount Desert Island Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Department Physician to join our team. This full-time position (30–40 hours/week) involves 12-hour shifts across days, nights, and evenings, with weekend and holiday coverage (average of two weekends per month). The Emergency Department Physician plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to our community, in alignment with our mission and values. Responsibilities include direct patient care in the emergency room setting, diagnosis and treatment of acute conditions, accurate documentation, collaboration with physician supervisors, and active participation in departmental quality improvement initiatives.

Education, Training or Certifications Required:
1. Current Maine MD/DO license.
2. Supervisory experience preferred.
Experience Required:
Five year or more experience in Medical field preferred.
