Description
  • Organize and maintain the dealership lot, ensuring forklifts and equipment are properly staged and presentable.
  • Safely move and transport forklifts and equipment within the lot and to/from customer locations.
  • Support the sales, rental, and service departments by setting up equipment and maintaining a clean and functional lot environment.
  • Perform light maintenance and vehicle checks.
  • Utilize company vehicle for equipment transport and delivery.
  • Travel to customer sites to deliver and pick up forklifts and other equipment.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to safety, environmental, and vehicle operation guidelines.
  • Safely operate forklifts and company vehicles in accordance with OSHA and DOT requirements.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized lot and dealership environment.
  • Maintain records of vehicle inspections and deliveries.
  • Interact with employees across departments and with customers professionally.
  • Serve as a communication link between customers and the company regarding equipment logistics.
  • Provide a high level of service and professionalism during equipment deliveries.
  • Complete job-specific and safety training as required.
  • Assist with general lot and facility housekeeping.
  • Perform basic inspections on forklifts (e.g., fluid levels, tire pressure, propane levels).
  • Load, unload, and secure equipment for safe transport.
  • Support the setup and movement of equipment for rentals, demos, and shop service appointments.
  • Be responsible for company property, including a vehicle, tools, and related equipment.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role or with heavy equipment is a plus but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Forklift operator certification is preferred or willingness to obtain one.
  • Must possess a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
  • Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions in English.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be physically able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
