Position Overview:
The Pablo Center at the Confluence is seeking a dynamic and experienced Special Events Bartender to join our team. As a Special Events Bartender, you will provide exceptional service to all clients and guests at their event. You will be responsible for creating and serving drinks, maintaining a clean and welcoming bar area, and ensuring that guests have a memorable experience during their event.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Greet customers with a smile, take drink orders, and provide recommendations based on guests’ preferences.
- Manage the bar area, ensuring cleanliness and organization, including stocking and cleaning glassware, tools, and equipment.
- Maintain a positive, professional attitude while interacting with guests and colleagues.
- Process payments and handle cash transactions, ensuring accurate charges and balance at the end of the shift.
- Adhere to all state and local regulations regarding alcohol service, ensuring responsible service at all times.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure efficient and smooth operation of the bar and overall customer satisfaction.
- Setup and breakdown of special event bar(s) as directed by the ESM or the Event Supervisor; to include tearing down a portable bar, restocking inventory, cleaning/deep cleaning bar area, taking out trash/recycling.
- May be asked to assist with other special event duties as needed from Event Supervisor; tear down buffet, strip linens, take out trash, etc.
- Participate in training programs to stay current with industry trends, products, and customer service standards.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of bartending experience, preferably in a high-volume or special event venue.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
- Demonstrates professionalism and a cooperative attitude when following direction from supervisors or team leads.
- Knowledge of classic cocktails, modern drink trends, and various spirits and mixers.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Certification in Responsible Beverage Service (e.g., TIPS or equivalent) preferred.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed based on event schedules.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
