Position Summary
The Wealth Advisor position has primary responsibility for engaging with clients, assessing their needs, recommending financial solutions and plans, and executing the prescribed course of action. The individual will focus on client opportunities by providing ideas and insights based on an understanding of the client's needs and their financial well-being. Wealth Advisors will have a mix of lead advisor and secondary advisor roles in client engagements.
Job Responsibilities
Advisory and Relationship Management
- Manage client relationships and helps clients achieve their goals.
- Make critical client decisions such as creating or preparing, reviewing and presenting financial plans.
- Lead the implementation of planning decisions and assigns client service steps to the rest of the team.
- Work with Senior Wealth Advisors and Senior Wealth Strategists to discuss, develop and implement financial planning techniques and recommendations.
- Follow the client service process defined by the firm and coordinates the consistent delivery of services to clients.
- Take ultimate responsibility for the quality control of client deliverables such as meeting agendas, financial plans, investment reports, analyses or presentations.
- Communicate proactively and consistently with clients to identify changes in their financial lives and needs that should be met.
- Build strong relationships with clients through consistent and caring communication.
- Maintain high professional expertise and continues to learn new processes, theories and best practices of client service.
- Serve as client’s “financial quarterback” by advising on topics such as investments, retirement, cash flow, taxes, debt, charitable endeavors, education planning, insurance, and estate planning.
- Work proactively with clients’ external service team, including accountants and attorneys, to meet client goals.
- Maintain necessary professional licenses and designations.
Firm Development
- Grow existing client relationships by adding more assets under management, identifying opportunities for additional services, and seeking referrals.
- Train, coaches, and/or mentors Senior/Advisory Analysts and Associate Wealth Advisors.
- Contribute to the Advisory Team’s initiatives for increased efficiency, quality, and control through system training, enhancement, and process improvement.
- Foster an environment of diversity and inclusion.
- Foster and nurture a culture of authenticity, respect, quality, excellence, gratitude, humility, and collaboration.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
- 7-10 years of relevant industry experience.
- Highly proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency with financial planning, CRM, and Portfolio reporting software.
- CFP or CFA required.
- Ability to successfully pass criminal background / credit check required.
