Description
Ohio Valley Voices is a 501C3 organization that teaches children that are deaf and hard of hearing how to listen and talk.
The Teacher Aide is responsible for ensuring the class / program has materials available and ready, fosters equal access to the curriculum for all children, and maintains supervision of children across their day
- Collects attendance sheets from teachers, check and log the sheets daily
- Prepares, records, and delivers snack to classroom
- Monitors children at lunchtime
- Monitors children during nap time
- Monitors children before and after school
- Keeps the supply room organized
- Keeps accurate emergency numbers of children
- Prepares materials for teacher as requested
- Performs other duties as requested
- Exhibits qualities of commitment to the children and to the success of Ohio Valley Voices
- Substitutes -teach as needed
- Exhibits excellent relationship management skills
- Does duties as assigned by their supervisor
- Works well in a team
- Demonstrates flexibility in their work responsibilities
Requirements
Teacher Aide must have High School Diplomas and be able to pass both Federal and State background checks.
